Care.

Paws4Ever Cares
Paws4Ever promotes animal welfare through animal healthcare. Paws4Ever works with veterinarians and other humane organizations to reduce the number of neglected, abandoned, abused, and homeless animals in our community and promote disease prevention and wellness. We have partnered with the Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic to provide low-cost spay/neuter programs and vaccinations and have partnered with the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas to provide homeless animals brought to our shelter, the specialty care they may need.

Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic
Dr. Marat Dubrovsky, owner and operator of the Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic, has partnered with Paws4Ever to provide spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and general veterinary care for the homeless animals that come to our adoption center. Dr. Dubrovsky has over thirty years of veterinary experience and specializes in spay/neuter surgeries. He has been performing sterilization surgeries on puppies and kittens as young as eight weeks for over twenty years.

The Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic is also available to the general public seeking low-cost spay/neuter services and annual vaccinations. The Nicks Road Clinic will spay/neuter your pet and provide vaccinations by appointment.

Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas
Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas has partnered with Paws4Ever to offer its compassionate care to our adoption center animals on a quarterly basis. Their generosity of spirit and expert skill have saved the lives or improved the lives of a number of our animals.

The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas is open 365 days a year to provide specialty and emergency care to dogs and cats. Specialty services include medical and radiation oncology, neurology/neurosurgery, surgery, and internal medicine.

Thanks to Drs. Concannon, Spodnick and Waddle, homeless animals that come to our shelter are treated with the utmost care.

United States Humane Society Spay Day
The Humane Society of the United States estimates that 3-4 million dogs and cats are euthanized in animal shelters each year. Spaying and neutering your pet is the single most important thing you can do to reduce the pet over-population problem in our community. Your pet will also live a longer, happier, healthier life and will become a better companion for you and your family. Celebrate Spay Day each February with Paws4Ever and get your pets spayed or neutered.

The $20 Fix from AnimalKind.org
If you live in Orange , Wake, or Durham counties and are on a fixed income, you may qualify for the $20 Fix. This program is sponsored by AnimalKind at www.animalkind.org. Once you have been approved for the program, you can schedule your pet's surgery at the Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic.

Feral Cat Trap Neuter and Return Program
Paws4Ever seeks to reduce the number of feral cats being euthanized in our shelters and works with various humane organizations to reduce these numbers. These organizations humanely trap feral cats from colonies and bring them to the Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic for sterilization. The clinic charges $30 per cat and the humane organization then releases the cats back into their colonies and continues to care for them as they live out their lives. Please contact the Nicks Road Veterinary Clinic for more information about this program.

Pit Bull Spay/Neuter
Paws4Ever seeks to end abuse of pit bulls in our community and reduce the large number of these dogs entering and being euthanized in our local shelters. We work to reduce these numbers by offering $50 spay/neuter surgeries for pit bulls. This program is funded in part by support from the Animal Farm Foundation.
