Personality Profile: I will give you the most adoring looks when I want to be petted. I am very laid back and get along with all my cat friends here in Catroom 2. I like to sleep in little cubby places and need a house to run in because I am getting a little thick around my center here, it might have something to do with my new love of salty things like chips and crackers. When i here the rustle of a bag of chips, I come flying in the room to see what the humans are eating and hopefully sharing. I also have the cutest chirping meow I do to let everyone know where I am.

Personality Profile: Sam is a great looking boy with a very unique color. He loves the company of all the kitties but dogs make him nervous. He is a little shy, but is overcoming his fears. He was thought to be a feral kitten, that is why the tip of his ear is clipped, but is showing us that with a little time and a lot of love and patience, he is turning into quite the little love bug. His buddy is Dexter, but he could go home with anyone, or by himself. Come in and take a peek, he'll be peeking back at ya.

Personality Profile: As content and comfortable as she looks in her picture, Pandita's happy ending almost did not exist. Left outside in her carrier in front of a local shelter on a cold January night, Pandita was extremely stressed out and hiding under the towels in her cage when the shelter staff got her inside. She also began to lose some of the fur on her backside. Paws4Ever was called and the shelter transferred her out to see if the open cat room environment would do the trick. Unfortunately, she was already so depressed, she chose to stop eating. The good folks at Veterinary Specialty Hospital donate their services once a quarter forPaws4Ever animals that need extra care and took Pandita's case. Dr. Concannon was quick to find a doctor that could see Pandita. Her blood results confirmed she had hepatic lipidosis. Since it was curable and diagnosed in time, a feeding tube was inserted and Pandita left for Executive Director, Tracy Carroll's home until she would eat on her own. For the next week and a half Pandita was tempted by food but she was content having the feeding tube be her source of nourishment. Finally about a week and a half later, Tracy put some food in front of Panditaand low and behold she began to eat. Thanks, to the local shelter, Paws4Ever staff and volunteers, and the staff at Veterinary Specialty Hospital, Pandita is back in action and ready for her forever home. Personality Profile: Denver, and his friends San Diego, Kansas City, Oakland, yes they are football fans:) , recently came to p4e from a very bad situation. They were from a home that contained at least fifty other cats!!! It was someone that was breeding exotic short hairs, and the situation quickly became out control. Denver has gone through numerous encounters, and as a result, is a bit on the shy side. He is a big sweetie once he gets to know ya, so don't let that shy side scare ya away. Personality Profile: This girl appears to be a lynx mix, with the pointy hairs on her ears & those piercing eyes. Her attitude is somewhat variant, depending on her location. She sometimes likes to hide in cat boxes and prefers to be left alone. When out in the open though, she thoroughly enjoys being petted & loved on. Who doesn't appreciate (and deserve) some time along every now and then? She gets along well with other cats & has even produced a litter of her own (hence, her name). Sadly none of them made it, so we let her get away with what she wants sometimes, when she's demanding peace & quiet. She is a very lovely, patient kitty that would probably do best in a home with no dogs due to her nervous attitude. Personality Profile: Tom Tom is a new guy at paws4ever. He is still nervous and ajusting to things here. Tom Tom and his friend Tiny were returned adoptions as a result of a divorce. Tiny is at our clinic right now with a cold, so now Tom Tom is very sad and misses his friend. Tiny will be back to keep him company as soon as he gets over his cold, and hopefully Tom Tom will cheer up a bit when he does. Tom Tom doesn't like being picked up, but is an affectionte guy. Personality Profile: Sammy came to us as an owner surrender from the shelter. He had a massive infection in his left ear, which was unfortunately, left untreated. His ear canal had swollen shut from the inflammation, consequently, leaving amputation as his best option. He is recovering quickly & is more than ready for his new home! As a shy guy, he would do best in a home with little commotion. We believe he is somewhat shy due to the pain he endeared while in the "care" of his human. A little love and compassion would go a long way with this guy! Once petted, he will raise his rump and flip his tail, thoroughly enjoying the rub-down. So now it looks like my days of farming are done and now I am living inside. Ya know I do like it. I always wondered where the farmer slept at night, if it was nicer than out in the barn. Sure sleping with the cows in the hay wasn't bad, but sleeping inside on a warm fluffy bed sure beats it. I like my cat friends here, they sure are good company. Sometimes the folkes that seem to run the place bring in a big ol dog into there office area. At first I was afrraid, brought back bad memories of the old farmers neighbor's cousin's dog. That dog sure was mean to me, but the dogs here are nice. SO i think i would like a doggie friend, as long as it's like one of the nice ones the folkes here bring in to visit. Personality Profile: Hey there. I recently came here with my friends Denver, Kansas City, and San Diego. We came from a sad situation. We were used for breeding, but then it turned into a hoarding situation. Now we are here patiently awaiting our new forever home. The silly humans here named us after football teams thinking that maybe someone would see their favorite team and scoop us up. I've never herd of this thing they call football, but hey if it works we'll be forever grateful for it:) Even though I have been through a lot of moving and craziness in my life I still have a very happy and outgoing attitude. I love all my new kitty friends (as you can see in one of my many pictures) and the humans are great here too. There are a lot of humans that come too see us, the staff tells us they are volunteers. All I know is that they are very nice and I just can't help but get my motor revving and getting some nice head butts in whenever they are here. Personality Profile: Hello everyone, Digger here. I lived at a county shelter for many long months. I was a lucky guy who got to stay there because I had such a good personality and I didn't let myself get depressed while I was living in a cage. So after all my good behavior I am rewarded. Now I get to play with other cats, get visited from all sorts of different people, and I got to meet dogs!! I think dogs are great, and some of my new kitty friends think I lost my mind at the county shelter. I tell ya, some cats are sooo silly. When the staff tests the dogs to see if they like us cats I get very excited. I met one nice doggie named Lada, and she loved me too. I got to rub all over her head and give her kisses, but the staff took her away because the other cats were grtting upset. I try to tell the other cats to calm down, but like I said they think I am crazy so they don't listen. Oh well. Please come visit me and my buds very soon. Personality Profile: Hello there. I have been told my name is Rapa which means Moonbeam in Hawaiian. I think it's a pretty neat name so I kept it :) I have lots of friends here, but I would be happiest if I had you as my best friend. I was born with a misfigured front paw. It doesn't have the same amount of toes as my other foot. It looks kinda wierd, but it doesn't bother me in the least. If my kitten friends didn't ask ask about it, I probally never would of noticed I was diffrent. Oh well, My humans friends said it's nothing to worry about, so I won't . Honestly I don't think Kittens ever worry about anything, I know I don't. I'm a laid back girl, I know that must be hard to believe, but I really am. I do love to play with my friends, as you can see in one of my pics, but I love my quiet time. When volunteers come in to visit and play with us, I tend to find a nice lap to snuggle in. Personality Profile: Kai has come a long way since she first arrived. At first she was a terrifed kitty who always hid in the shy room. The only time anyone would see her is when the staff was cleaning and would move the cages around. Then she would dart out and find a new place to hide. If you looked for her you would alwys find her hiding, and her eyes were as big as marbles. NOW.... Kai is currently living in cat room 1. Her new best friend is a lovely lady named Trudy. She likes when visitors and volunteers come in, and awaits her pets. She is absolutely beautiful, with stand out markings. She likes lounging around, never gets very excited, and doesn't mind the ongoings of the day, busy or not. She gets nervous around dogs, but if it was a nice dog that was respectful of her, she could get along just fine. She isn't a big fan of being picked up ( many cats share that) but loves when you talk to her. If you get the right spot on her back she hops right up and will bug you for more loving. Personality Profile: Well with a name like Screamer, do we have to mention he talks a lot? He loves to meow really loud, sometimes growl very loud, or purr very loud. At times it almost seems as if his talanted self can do it all at once, as hard as that maybe to believe or understand, sure has us baffled. Other than his sounds, Screamer is a lovable guy. He is very aloof with the other cats and tends to just hang out in a nice soft spot and watch the happenings in the adoption center. He was surrenderd to a shelter because the family ws moving out of the country and didn't want to take him along. It is very heartbreaking after 11 years of being a good kitty, but Screamer is taking it in stride. He's not depresed like a lot of cats can become after losing their family, who wouldn't be? He is a special guy because of his strong heart and his preseverece to move on even though he was left behind. Personality Profile: Frankie is an all around great guy. He adapts to any situation very quickly. He loves all the other cats, people, children, and he LOVES dogs. If he could go to a home with a dog he would be in Frankie Heaven! He recently staied at one of the staff members house for a sleepover, and did wonderfull. The staff member has five dogs and nine cats. Frankie was right at home. He needed no ajustment time and acted like he had lived there his whole life. He was having fun with the cats and enjoying their company, and all the soft places they had to take naps in. The dogs was the highlight for Frankie. He didn't know what dog to rub on first. He had urinary problems when we first got him, and he overcame them, but we feel that he would feel his best if he staied on the urinary food. Personality Profile: Bob is a new guy at paws4ever. He was surrendered to a county shelter for no reason. He is currently scared and sad not really knowing what has happened to his family. The staff and volunteers sit with him which is really starting to help build his confidence. Singing usually helps but unfortantlly no none here can sing very well, but the cats don't mind it at all. Bob is front declawed , as well as being a manx. He's a big boy, but we aren't worried as much about his wieght as we are about his happiness and need to feel safe.
